pada suatu hari ahad bertarikh 10julai bermula dari pukul 9pagi dari city (sehari sebelum bermula kelas sem2 2005 esoknya) berlakulah suatu ekspedisi untuk ke camberwell Sunday market…
kemudian, tepat jam 12 begitu bergerak pula ke dandenong, konon-kononnya mahu ke dandenong market…
oleh itu majulah kami ke stesen ketapi camberwell… tetapi terlepas train ke dandenong… adus! Oleh itu, naiklah train yang ke line frankston tetapi turun di Caulfield supaya dapat ke dandenong… (pergh, dr zon1 ke zon3 trus!) di Caulfield ketemu sama ‘cipto’, yang berkawan sama wati…
apabila sampai di dandenong…. pergh… TUTUp! (manalah orang mau tahu; anyway dandenong market hanya buka pada hari selasa, khamis, dan sabtu sahaja, from 8am-2pm except on sat is 8am-4pm)
kerana kecewa dandenong market tutup pada hari ahad seperti ini, tercetuslah idea untuk ke
ke springvale market… memang dijamin buka ya… hingga pukul 5petang agaknyalah.
Pusing-pusing di springvale sambil beristirahat sebentar membeli asian groceries… (ke zon3 tuh beli asian groceries! Dahsat…)
ekspedisi dari zon1 ke zon3 ini kemudian diraikan di restoran seafood di springvale with buffet all u can eat for $15 per head… MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! (sungguh dekat bangat sama stesen kereta api springvale) makan buffet seafood itu juga hingga kenyang bangat! (or in kelantanese I always like to say, ‘kenye do’ oh’). 
Itulah aja kisah ekspedisi dari zon1 ke zon3, dari seawal 9pagi hingga ke sore ke malam baru pulang ke rumah… isk, isk… mengong, mengong… gile tol ah.
Kesimpulan: gunakan tiket ‘Sunday saver’ yang hanya berharga $2.50 yang amat berguna untuk berjalan-jalan dari zon1, 2 dan 3…

This is a news report that I did (for folio soft news) that is worth 20% for General News Reporting..
| Quote: | “I do like staying in my house, but I do like staying outside too but I don’t really have a huge attachment to where I live,” said the $5000 winner of the Moreland Sculpture Show this year.
The winning sculpture, Dwelling, questions the functions of houses and homes. It presents a house which is now permanently situated at Coburg Lake Reserve.
An honours graduate in Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts, specialising in sculpture at Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), 28-year-old Jason Waterhouse has been practising sculpture for five years now. But this is actually the first time his sculpture has been acquired by a council.
Mr Waterhouse said that the whole idea behind Dwelling is about being unable to get inside or into the house.
“We are like having an internal relationship with the home, like the way we live, and I just want to change that relationship by blocking that entrance,” he said.
He had initially wished to build a full-sized house but he said that he obviously could not afford it. So he eventually narrowed down the idea into making a scaled version of an average suburban house that can be found anywhere in Australia instead.
Dwelling is made from bronze. Mr Waterhouse chose that material because it is a classical material which he has been using for a long time. He explained that the material is permanent and does not rust.
It only took him a few months to finish up the piece. He said that the making of Dwelling started off with balsa wood and some cardboard for the model or pattern.
The judge, Dr Dan Wollmering felt that Dwelling conveys the artistic merit and overall quality in this year’s Moreland Sculpture Show. He commented that it is a simple design which provokes the audience to linger longer for experimentation, inspection, introspection and contemplation.
Dwelling had a strong conceptual base according to Dr Wollmering. He basically looks for a more a well-resolved idea of quality and excellence when judging for the winning sculpture.
Dwelling not just portrays a house but it also portrays the function of a home.
When Mr Waterhouse was asked what he was going to do with the $5000 prize money, he answered animatedly, “To pay off my credit cards of course!”.
He has chosen to teach to fund his sculpture. Currently, he is teaching TAFE students sculpture and drawing at Swinburne University in Wantirna. |
As a prof comm kid, i got to study a lil' bit of journalism (mainly news stuff), PR n freaking lotsa media (TV n radio) stuff.
Journalism is not really my thing, but I still like to write.
But what I found abt interviewing jason is... I don't know. I enjoyed interviewing him.
He's really cool in person as an artist. Come on, he's a professional sculptor! Dwelling speaks for him in here!
I mean, I can't help myself feeling really, awesomely, special of meeting him in person just to get the interview done for this freaking news report!

I wanted to write a cover about the moreland sculpture show event. It was in coburg lake reserve (stop 37 of Sydney rd, tram 19 from the city).
But it was from 23 apr – 8 may so it’s not 2 weeks prior to the submission date of the freaking folio soft news assignment. FINE!
Still, that didn’t stop me to have a look at the sculptures while it was still there… until may 8 of course.
there were actually more sculptures during the event but i didn't had enough time to take photos of the rest.

i only managed to get autographs from duta, eross, adam, n sakti... cos the drummer, DID NOT want to get out from the van... ugh. so ngade - ngade wan...
anyway, the poster was stolen after the concert, it was posted a lot outside of qbh club... i mean, after the concert, obviously the organiser would throw it away... so me and my friends who stayed AFTER the concert to take photos and ask for their autographs stole EVERY poster n keep it as our own... cos after that we have so7's autographs... wuhuhuhuhu...

mwehehehehe... cam kartun ah dgn dierang nih!! geram tol.

this photo session was on the day before the concert. soo... that makes wed, april 27th. they asked me to come over @ 3.30pm but they only begin to shoot the photos @ 5pm!!
the reason is: poor sheila on 7 actually had to rush from their freaking video clip shooting to photo plus on swanston st for the photo session with the fans... it was limited to 30 fans, i think.
anyway, when they arrived... they pretty much wasted a few minutes smoking... duta lah n i can't remember who else who smokes in the band.
eross was late... (he's the one with the 'good' sign in one of the photos), but they were really, really nice!!! i mean, when i got into the studio, they were all like... together - gether, "namanya siapa??? "
"hanisah. err.. hani..honey... honey.."
"hanisah? anisah.. hani..." (entah ape lah dierang cakap!!!)
"ok berdiri d tengah cni. eh, hati-hati..."
after done with 2 shots... the photographer lady was like, 1 more shot mau seorang duduk. duduk. siapa mau duduk.
sakti, "tak apa, saya duduk"
n then everyone else who r still standing were like, "mau pose bagaimana pula ya.." pas2 buat aksi ultraman ke ntah ape2 ntah... "begini? atau begini...?" mengarut seh... but they were really, really funny!!!
when the 3rd shot was over... again, being super-super friendly people, "makasih yaa... jumpa besok d konsert!!!"

The Indonesian band, Sheila on 7 are like so incredibly, adorably cute + photogenic + loveable + funny + super – friendly + freaking down – to – earth IN PERSON!!!
They are so rocked!!! The concert@club qbh (near crown casino) was a blast last thu the April 28th… sephia ade, berhenti berharap, pria kesepian, sahabat, mcm2 lagi, dan (encore at the end cos we all shouted ‘we want more!!!’ after they were done performing the last song) dan juge 2 new songs from the new ‘best of s07’ album… their new video clip were shot in Melbourne. Found out that they shot in Parkville, Southbank Boulevard and… La Trobe St.
Here’s a quote from my friend, she asked so7, “What do u think about Melbourne?”
“Dingin!” pas2 gelak2… uhuhu… *kecomelan.
(note: I was too bz loving and enjoying the bloody rocking concert that I don’t even bother to take photos of the concert… hahahahahaha…. Cos in my head I just want to get closer to them by taking photos with them and get their autographs!!!) – which I actually did…

Eventually, here’s the story… after the concert, we like, JUST WAIT for Sheila on 7 to go out from the club qbh to take photos and autographs… it was already late, 11++pm when the concert ends. They practically wrapped up like 11.30 or something.
luckily that I came straight from uni to the concert, so I bought my school bag with me, and I had my pen!! Ho – rei… we could get autographs… yeh, yeh…
We waited at the front door, and chatted with the ‘playground’ kids (the opening act band before s07) while waiting… suddenly so7 went out through the back door (probably happened at 11.40pm already!!!). When my friend told me this, I quickly run up to Sakti for his autograph, and then with Eross, and managed to take a personal photo with Duta!!!
And they were all very, very surprised to c us, being freaking annoying fanatic fans to run to them! They were like, “Eh, enggak pulang lagi???”
When approaching Sakti, my words just came out naturally, “Can I pls have ur autograph?”
“Boleh, boleh…”
“Ini pen”
“Kenapa pen ini?” It turned out my pen did not want to function at first… “Oh tidak!! Tolong, jangan!” After a few short attempts with the pen, akhirnye berjaye gak… uhuhu… dpt gak Sakti sign… pas2 eross…
pas2 lari ke duta plak, mintak amek gambar dgn die, dan mintak die punye autograph…
kat duta ckp camni, “Boleh amek gambar?”
“Boleh… boleh!!!”
lepas amek gambar dgn duta, “Ok, mau tolong sign plak.”
“Boleh…” trus die sign… “makasih yaa!!”
“Bye – bye!”
Kat Malaysia jgn harap ah leh tunggu pas konsert dan tunggu dgn sepenuh hati dierang kuar dr backstage dan beramah mesra dgn sungguh mesra yg amatlah dgn Sheila on 7 yg sgt penuh kecomelan yg besh yg sungguh seronot!!! Pas2 jgn nak mimpi lah nak dpt berdiri betul2 depan pentas sampai selambe letak jek beg atas stage (sbb dah berdiri kat depan tuh), seriously dpt tengok muke2 sorang ahli so7 gile close up… aahhh… I really can’t help myself from drooling….

ANYWAY... 'after party' kami ialah melayan biskut-biskut free selepas konsert... seronotnyerh! worth it la kan byr tiket $32 tuh cos dpt biskut free... n then dpt a tiny leaflet upon promoting filem 'tentang dia'.
THOROUGHLY, the show was amazingly MAGNIFICIENT! *muahs to all the Sheila on 7 members!! [and even the backstage crews too, cos they helped duta from falling off the stage cos we keep pulling him down; (sorry, duta!!) we can’t help it, duta was volunteering pretty much every part of his body to be touched by the fans; and also thanks to the opening act band – very funny, cutie ‘playground’ kids – franklin especially – the bassist]

We went to see the winery, then had a lunch breakâ?¦ the â??barbieâ?? (bbq) of course! Then go to the koala conservation centre before heading to the real phillip island to c the cutie â??little penguinsâ??â?¦ uhuhuâ?¦

harmony day in melbourne!! it happens to falls last mon the 21st.
it was weird, actually... i had no idea about 'harmony day' n the oren (orange) color stuff.. oren (i like to say orange as 'oren' in malay... ehehehe  )
it's about living together, with multi-racials kids in melbourne. there was quite a celebration at the bowen street. i was done with my lecture at noon when i was walking toward the library, but i end up going late to the library, cos i had to join the fun of the 'oren' - harmony day... yeh hey!!! 
P/S: i almost forgot to mention that the oren signifies harmony for this special occassion of 'harmony day'.....

the beshTEST weekend everrrrrrr...!!!!

my coolest wkend had began on fri the 18th. I took the opportunity of the loreal Melbourne fashion festival (14 â?? 20mac) to watch this free fashion show@melbourne central.
It was AWESOME! The show lasted for only 30minutes by Melbourneâ??s new, soon, up and coming young designersâ?¦ (ce wah ayat) â?? What do u expect? A 2 hours showâ?¦??? The fashion show is for a FREE charity thing just for the passion in this art.
However, taking the photos proven to be super â?? challenging because it was REALLY my first time shooting catwalk models actually doing, the catwalk! They walked so slow for me to have to wait to come in front of meâ?¦ but when they do stop, they just canâ??t stop moving and posing in so many stylistic approachâ?¦
A very great experience that I would not want to trade in for anything else now.
to add up to the coolest wkendâ?¦ Kak Laily has invited a bunch of kids to her AWESOME hsewarming@ her beshtest place in FOOTSCRAY on sat the 19th. A modern â?? design house, far away in the footscray suburbâ?¦ very near to footscray market, lotsa shopsâ?¦ n most importantly, HIGHPOINT SHOPPING CENTRE!! Huhuâ?¦
we ate, we drank (orange juice k), we laughedâ?¦ which is before some cool mini tour of the house from k laily.
(note: I donâ??t want to show every crook and corner of the house here to protect their privacyâ?¦ cos itâ??s their house, NOT mine anyway)
as me and a couple of kids went there early at lunch timeâ?¦ we decided to perform the zuhur prayer laterâ?¦ and off we head on to HIGHPOINT, yeah!
We just walked around highpoint, only window â?? shopping cos that mall is so incredibly â?? greatly â?? hu â?? u â?? geâ?¦ myer, target, safeway, retail shops all in one, weh â?? hey! Till then we decided to have a break at Gloria jeans.
So far now, this is the BESH wkend everrrrrâ?¦ my life is great in Melbourne.
